WHICH APP CAN I USE WITH MY CR-1 CAMERA?

There are two Apps suitable for the (CR-1/CF-1)

MY CAMERA IS NOT CHARGING FULLY AND RUN TIME IS NOT AS EXPECTED

The camera will not fully charge if you are not using the charging cable provided. The camera must also be charged via mains or a powerbank supply. The USB port on any computer or laptop will not provide the power required to fully charge the battery.

MY CAMERA IS POWERING DOWN AND NOT RECORDING MY ENTIRE RIDE?

You should expect at least 5 hours run time. If not please refer to below

When charging the camera please use the provided USB charging cable via mains supply

Ensure that you are using a quality SD card of at least 32GB

The camera has a built in G Sensor that locks down video footage if it detects an incident/bump, but as we know UK roads can be very uneven and a bump may well lock down video files. Locked video files cannot be overwritten by the camera as it is designed to protect them, so over time locked files can eventually fill the entire memory of the card and the camera will not operate. Advice is to test out the different levels of G Sensor settings, of course this feature can always be turned off. Always manage your locked files. Or on a regular basis reformat the SD card via the settings as this will clear and delete all video files from the card. Performing regular reformats of any SD card is good for the cards health and performance.

I AM HAVING PROBLEMS ACCESSING THE APP ON MY MOBILE DEVICE

If you have any form of security software or firewall set up on your mobile device this could be preventing access to the App

To overcome this, you will need to update the settings on your phone/software to allow access. The most common used are

Is there anything that can be done to improve image stabilisation?

The camera does not have any form of electronic image stabilisation built in. However you can use the Shotcut software (Free Option) to help improve video image stabilisation should this be required

SD CARD FORMATTING?

Sd cards may not always be in the correct format, normally the larger cards i.e. 64GB and 128GB. You can format as below:

HOW DOES LOOP RECORDING WORK?

Let’s say you are using a 128GB sd card. This will give you approximately 18 hours of total recording. The 3 min video files build up and when the max card storage is reached it will start to overwrite the oldest files first. So when using a 128GB card you will always have the last 18 hours saved in the 3 minute files.

You can select the desired segment times i.e. 1/3/5/10 minutes which can be selected/changed within the WiFi app
If you are using the camera for more action camera use, the loop record facility can simply be turned off within app settings. Your video files will be saved in 15 minute segments BUT it will not loop record when the card is full.

HOW DO I MOUNT THE CAMERA LIGHT?

The camera has been designed to use the standard Go Pro style mounting system. The bar mount required is included in the kit.

HOW LONG IS THE BATTERY LIFE?

The battery life varies depending on features being used i.e. light and Camera etc, but you should expect approximately 5 hours with LED switched on and well over 6 hours with no LED and just the camera running

Please note that cold weather affects all batteries and can reduce run time.

HOW MANY HOURS WILL I GET ON A MICRO SD CARD?

You will get approximately 18 hours of recording time on a 128GB and 9 hours on a 64GB card Micro SD Card. We recommend using a class 10 min 80mbs U3 card.

HOW LONG IS THE WARRANTY ON MY CAMERA?

All Techalogic products carry a 12-month warranty from date of sale.

DOES THE CAMERA RECORD SOUND?

Yes, the device has a built-in internal microphone.

CAN THE CAMERA TAKE PHOTOS?

Yes, by selecting the photo mode. See the instruction manual on how to do this. Once selected the camera will take approximately 1 photo every second.

CAN I CHANGE THE LED LIGHT SEQUENCE?

Yes you can. Please see the manual for the different options.

WHY WILL MY CAMERA NOT TURN ON?

The battery may be flat. Place the device on charge and wait for sufficient time to allow it to be switched on. If the battery has been fully drained, or left without charge for long periods, you may need to wait longer. If charging the battery does not work, use the reset function.

WHY AM I NOT PICKING MY CAMERA UP ON WIFI?

Refresh the network list and try again. Make sure your SD card is formatted, or try another SD card.

MY SD CARD IS FULL. HOW DO I DELETE OLD FILES?

The files will get overwritten as it records, except for the “locked” files. Reformat your SD card to delete all files or manage individual video file on the app or your computer.

WHY IS MY CAMERA SHOWING A REVERSE IMAGE?

Check “Sensor mirror” in the settings, it may be switched on meaning imagery is mirrored in the recording. Switch this off to restore “normal” function.

Important! This is the latest Firmware version for the Techalogic CR-1.

Simply download the file and copy to your SD Card then follow the instructions in the user manual. Important: Do not change the name of the file after download
