Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT APP SHOULD I USE?
Download the Viidure app
MY CAMERA IS NOT CHARGING FULLY AND RUN TIME IS NOT AS EXPECTED.
The camera will not fully charge if you are not using the charging cable provided. The camera must also be charged via mains or a powerbank supply. The USB port on any computer or laptop will not provide the power required to fully charge the battery.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO BE DELIVERED?
Order before 12pm today and will be dispatched same day and should receive your order tomorrow. Orders made after 12pm will be sent the day after (excludes Weekends & Bank Holidays).
SD CARD FORMATTING?
SD cards may not always be in the correct format, normally the larger cards i.e. 64GB and 128GB. You can format as below:
Ensure not recording and turn off the WiFi.) Quick short press the recording button 5 times .
By app
Connect you mobile device via WiFi. Open the app setting page and select format options.
I AM HAVING PROBLEMS ACCESSING THE APP ON MY MOBILE DEVICE
If you have any form of security software or firewall set up on your mobile device this could be preventing access to the App
To overcome this, you will need to update the settings on your phone/software to allow access. The most common used are
Norton or Mcaffe, the links below may help you
https://support.norton.com/sp/en/uk/home/current/solutions/v6958602
https://www.technipages.com/allow-program-access-through-mcafee-personal-firewall
Is there anything that can be done to improve image stabilisation?
The camera does not have any form of electronic image stabilisation built in. However you can use the Shotcut software (Free Option) to help improve video image stabilisation should this be required
This video is great explainer as to how this works and how to use the Shotcut software.
HOW DOES LOOP RECORDING WORK?
Let’s say you are using a 128GB sd card. This will give you approximately 18 hours of total recording. The 3 min video files build up and when the max card storage is reached it will start to overwrite the oldest files first. So when using a 128GB card you will always have the last 18 hours saved in the 3 minute files.
You can select the desired segment times i.e. 1/3/5/10 minutes which can be selected/changed within the WiFi app
If you are using the camera for more action camera use, the loop record facility can simply be turned off within app settings. Your video files will be saved in 15 minute segments BUT it will not loop record when the card is full.
HOW DO I ADJUST THE SOUND RECORDING LEVELS?
There are 3 microphone sensitivity settings (High, Medium and Low). The camera is suppled pre-set to Medium. To change the level a firmware update is required. Please refer to the firmware section of the XV-1 support page.
HOW DO I MOUNT THE CAMERA?
The camera has been designed to use the standard Go Pro style mounting system. Please see Tutorial Videos for further advise.
HOW LONG IS THE BATTERY LIFE?
Expect 2.5 Hours from your fully charged camera
Battery life can easily be extended as the camera will fully operate when connected to power via the Micro USB lead provided. A portable standard power bank of 10000mAh would give you approximately another 10 hours in addition to the 2.5 hours if the camera is fully charged.
Please note that cold weather affects all batteries and can reduce run time.
Check the battery status
Short press once the recording button to stop recording first, and press twice the power button to check the battery status:
- Camera vibrates 3 times: battery power is more than 50%.
- Camera vibrates twice: battery power 30%-50%.
- Camera vibrates once: battery power is less than 30%.
HOW MANY HOURS WILL I GET ON A MICRO SD CARD?
You will get approximately 18 hours of recording time on a 128GB and 9 hours on a 64GB card Micro SD Card. We recommend using a class 10 min 80mbs U3 card.
MY CAMERA TURNS ITSELF OFF AFTER A FEW MINUTES
Intelligent Energy-Saving System
- When the camera does not detect any motion for 3 minutes, it will automatically turn off.
- When an external power supply is connected, the energy-saving system will be disabled.
- This feature can be turned on/off in the app’s setting page.
HOW LONG IS THE WARRANTY ON MY CAMERA?
All Techalogic products carry a 12-month warranty from date of sale.

DOES THE CAMERA RECORD SOUND?
CAN THE CAMERA TAKE PHOTOS?
Yes, by selecting the photo mode in the app or using the additional remote control unit . See the instruction manual on how to do this.
WHY WILL MY CAMERA NOT TURN ON?
The battery may be flat. Place the device on charge and wait for sufficient time to allow it to be switched on. If the battery has been fully drained, or left without charge for long periods, you may need to wait longer. If charging the battery does not work, use the reset function.
HOW DO I SET THE DATE AND TIME?
When you connect to the WiFi/app, this will auto update, so you don’t need to set it manually.
I CAN'T CONNECT TO THE APP
Please check if you’ve turned on your phone and camera’s WiFi. Is the camera’s blue light flashing? If the blue light doesn’t appear, it means that the camera’s WiFi is not turned on. Stop recording first, then turn on the WiFi by pressing the WiFi button twice (the blue light will be flashing). Find the camera in your phone’s WiFi settings page and connect to the camera. (2) Please check that you’re connected to WiFi, and not Bluetooth. (3) Please check the flashing of the lights, if you see 2 lights flashing alternately, this means that the camera can’t detect the memory card. Format the memory card by pressing the recording button 5 times, then connect again.
MY SD CARD IS FULL. HOW DO I DELETE OLD FILES?
The files will get overwritten as it records, except for the “locked” files. Reformat your SD card to delete all files or manage individual video file on the app or your computer.
