HC-1 gives you a way to record those journeys without making filming the purpose of the ride. Its helmet-mounted view moves with your head, recording within the lens’s field of view.

Charge the camera, check the mount and confirm recording before you leave. HC-1’s stated runtime is up to 2.5 hours, so plan charging around the length of your ride.
With loop recording enabled, older clips are replaced as the card fills. That keeps recording moving, but means any footage you want to keep should be copied promptly.
IP65 weather protection supports everyday outdoor use. Keep the port covers properly closed and follow the manual; the camera is not intended for immersion.
Runtime varies with settings, temperature and use. Mounts add to the total setup weight.

A few useful answers.
How do I keep a useful recording?
Set the correct date and time, clean the lens and check a short test clip. Confirm recording before setting off. Copy any relevant original files promptly, before loop recording replaces them. Read the footage-preservation guide.
Does HC-1 record behind me as well?
One HC-1 records one direction. For simultaneous front-and-rear recording from a dual-lens helmet camera, compare DC-1 and DC-2 Pro. Two separate HC-1 cameras would be a different setup to charge, mount and manage.
Can I use the app while riding?
Stop somewhere safe before using the app or adjusting the camera. Use the WiFi app to review clips and manage settings when stationary.
What if I need help choosing a mount?
Check your helmet manufacturer’s fitting guidance and the HC-1 manual. If you are unsure, tell us about your setup so we can help you choose suitable accessories.
What support comes with my purchase?
You can find manuals and setup help in HC-1 support. Direct Techalogic purchases have a 30-day returns period; check the policy for conditions. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Having previously bought the Techalogic DC1, we didn’t think that anything could top it, it’s a fabulous piece of kit, that’s easy to use, but Techalogic asked us to test their new HC1.
The HC1 is much lighter, weighing in at only 48g. It sits on the front of your helmet and you can hardly tell its there. The footage is beautifully clear and I find that with the DC1 things look a bit further away, while the HC1 is much closer. When I go out on a ride I want to record the scenery and I have found that the clarity on this new camera is superb, as is the sound. I’ve ridden through trees and bushes and the camera hasn’t moved. I galloped across the Moor and again it didn’t move. I like it a lot, its much simpler to use and the app that goes with it works well and I think is a bit simpler than the DC1, well I can work it without asking for help and that says a lot.
If you are looking for a front fitting camera, with great clarity and good sound, you can’t go wrong with the Techalogic HC1.
